Swimsuits encouraged | Unique rehearsal 'dinner' | Private catamaran
If you've ever wondered how to spoil wedding guests (and destination photographers, lucky us!), you can follow Kelly and Kale's lead. This is the first of four posts about their destination wedding in Mexico that was held just outside Cancun in an adult only all-inclusive resort in Riviera Maya called Secrets Silversands.
Kelly and Kale surprised their wedding guests who traveled to their beachfront wedding with a rehearsal 'dinner' that beats them all. In lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner, the evening before the wedding, they opted to take everyone on a private cruise chartered by Samba Catamarans for an afternoon of fun. The crew on the boat was friendly, funny and attentive to everyone's needs. We were offered drinks to enjoy as we cruised out on the turquoise waters to our first destination... snorkeling the crystal clear coral reef. Most of us went overboard after we donned a life jacket, mask, snorkel and fins, then followed the crew into the water. While snorkeling we saw coral and a variety of fish including barracudas. Some of us even had the opportunity to touch a sea cucumber. After our adventure underwater, we hopped back on the boat for a quick cruise over to Isla Mujeres (The Island of Women). During our short time on Isla Mujeres, we explored shops full of colorful Mexican souvenirs, tequila and silver. Did you know Ricky Martin has a house in the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women)? Yes, the beautiful house you see below is the residence of the latin singer. That day WE were the ones Living La Vida Loco.
The memories and laughter shared that day were a spectacular way to celebrate Kale and Kelly. We're sure they will be talking about this trip for years and years to come. I know we will.
You won't want to miss next week's blog post when we share the moments captured on their wedding day.
