Sweet Darling Weddings, creating lasting memories in Central Illinois and beyond.

Pear Estate Wedding

Finding your soul mate can take time.  Finding a soul mate for YOU that is also the perfect fit for YOUR KIDS may take a little longer.  And sometimes, finding the right person for you and your children can happen when you're not even looking.   Leslie, a single mom to Ryanne and Braden, was introduced to Andrew through mutual friends a couple years ago.  From the very beginning, Andrew has assisted with homework, attended sporting events and lent a helping hand however he could. Along the way, he fell in love with all three of them.   We were thrilled that Sweet Darling Weddings had the honor to photograph their wedding day... the day they officially became a family.

Ryanne and Braden had the privilege of being the maid of honor and best man at this beautiful spring wedding at Pear Tree Estate in central, IL.  Braden looked dapper in the black tuxedo and sported a smile that was contagious.  We couldn't help but smile when he'd break out in his big ole grin.  Ryanne looked stunning in the off-white sparkly dress and a soft braid to accentuate her beautiful smile and perfect complexion. We're sure Leslie was wondering how her baby girl was looking so grown up.

And Leslie was a show stopper in her fitted satin gown with a lace overlay that fit like a glove.  Her hair and makeup looked polished and effortless.   The accessories she chose were gorgeous.  One of her rings had very special meaning.  It's wonderful to hear the memories of some of the special items couples incorporate into their wedding.  The ring she wore on her index finger was her late grandmother's and was her 'something borrowed'.  You will also see in the photos below a white crochet shawl worn in memory of Andrew's grandmother who passed away just days before their wedding.  The shawl, which shows no sign of age, was worn by Andrew's grandmother on her wedding day.  How very cool that Leslie carried it in when her father walked her down the aisle.  Leslie then set the shawl at an empty seat next to Andrew's parents.  Such a touching way to incorporate those who are no longer with us.

We couldn't help but smile watching Andrew and Leslie interact with one another.  The endearing looks, the laughter, the love.  We captured their first day as Mr. and Mrs and are certain there will be many more years of that connection ahead for the two of them.
